Brrestore give error termination message not found

Dear all

i have try to restore offline backup to test system bcaz while database upgrade it got crashed it shows error ora-01157 and ora-01110 i have the backup of system

while i am trying to restore the backup it throws error terminated message not found d:\oracle\SID\sapbackup\beojggvh.afd log file incomplete

 

i used following command

 

brrestore -b beojggvh.afd -m full -c

 

i copied backSID.log and beojggvh.afd file from offline backup folder to target system /oracle/sid/sapbackup  suggest i went wrong

 

i am on windows

I have tried to refer to  <Security Administration Guide>, but it is  not detailed enough.

Product costing- Debits and credits on the Production cost centers

Hi All,

 

I want to know how this process works:

 

Example:

I have posted an FI entry which is also recorded in the Production cost center:

Factory Manager Salary: 10 $ posted into production cost center

 

Now:

My Actual credits from Production cost centers are ( based on activity price kp26 and qnty confirmed in the orders):

Labour:     3 $

Machine:   3$

Setup:       3$

Total     =9 $

 

So there is an under absorption of 1$ ( 10$- 9$). Now how this 1 $ get absorbed into the order upon revaluation? How system divides that 1 $ into three activities ? Please explain.

Hi PI Experts,

 

We are on SAP PI 7.31 SP 10.

 

We are in the process of integrating ARIBA P2P solution using SOAP Adapter as sender to connect Ariba with our PI system.

 

We have configured all required components in ESR and ID(Most of them are content provided by Ariba).When we try to post a message into PI using SOAP UI we are ending with below error.

Client Crashing Unexpectedly

  I have installed SAP v8.82 PL10 and the  client keeps crashing when I execute a query or Just as I am about to do a DTW import. What could be causing this behaviour ? It has so far been observed on the server only.

Planning at subassembly level in SAP B1

Dear experts,

 

Can you please advise if  SAP Business one would support the MRP model in which the forecast is  planned at a sub assembly level.

The Finished good level has multiple variants based on Customer requirements. There are set of Raw parts which are the same for each variant. I would like to build a Phantom level subassembly in the BOM of each FG and Forecast at this Level which is same for every product. At the same time I want the S/O for the FG to consume the forecast subassembly as well as forecast for the top level if it is built as free for sale.

So that the FG BOM is consisting of set of common parts (subassembly phantom) and set of variable parts.

I load the forecast for subassembly phantom and trigger procurement of the parts. once I receive S/O for the Finished product, I buy the variables and consume the Forecast of the subassembly to build my SKU.

 

I am now using SAP business one v 8.82. I tried it, but MRP doesnt see connection between subassy phantom and FG demand. It considers them as separate items and thus duplicating the requirements. And I cannot find any setups for planning strategy to set the connection between this subassembly and the FG.

Could you please make it short and simple ..

 

Scenario: We use Epicor (ERP software) for reporting and we have Crystal Runtime 2008 installed to run Crystal reports developed in XI R2

 

1) Reports designed in Crystal XI R2...

2) Run-Time I have now is Crystal 2008

 

Query: If I update my Report designer to Crystal 2013... Do I need to make any formatting changes that are already developed using Crystal XI?

 

If I don't need to make any Changes-> What version of Crystal Run-Time should be used for both 32 and 64 bit machines. Does Crystal 2008 run-time needs to be updated?

 

I am not sure about this statement : "you need to deploy the app as a 64 bit app you would need to useCR for VS 2010 / 2012 / 2013 to develop your app with version 13 runtimes and use the report designed in any of above CR designers"

Raising a notification from 3rd party software

Hi

 

We have a client looking at raising notifications within the asset management system of SAP via a sql/.net software application. The 3rd party software has a defect register which could be used to open the SAP notification. We would like to populate the fields automatically when the notification is opened.

 

Is there a current feature within SAP to raise single or multiple notifications via a 3rd party application?

BI4.1 SSL SIA Configuration

I'm trying to configure our BI4.1 system for SSL and I'm not quite clear on what the steps are.

 

I've read the admin guide step 8.13.2 for setting up SSL when the certificate is managed by a certificate authority, but reading the steps it appears to me that I'm generating the signed certificate myself... ?

 

I've been given one root certificate, one intermediate certificate and one server certificate. When configuring SSL for Tomcat, this worked very well without any issues. However I'm not sure what steps I should follow given that I already have my signed certificates.

 

The root/intermediate certificates was provided in a p7b file (PKCS #7 certificate) and I saved out the 2 certificates from that as PKCS #7 certificates with the .cer format. and the server certificate is also a .cer certificate.

 

Could someone please guide me a bit on what steps I need to take? I'm assuming that I do not need to run the openssl commands as per the admin guide instructions.

I need to block addition of  A/R invoices with 'Price after discount' column is zero or null where the oinv.doctype is "I".Also allow  adding the document if the oinv.doctype is "S".How can i do this?.Please See the screen shot.

Fail to login DTW

Dear Experts.

 

 

I am using SAP B1 9.0 PL11 and DTW 9.0 PL11.

 

The login to DTW is failed. Here is the error message:

I have reinstalled DTW, DI API x64, delete SM_OBS_DLL and even I reinstalled SAP B1 & SQL server.

 

I have searched corrupted registry key of DTW, DI API, SAP B1 Client and UI API but the problem doesn't solve yet.

 

Please help to provide the solution for this issue.

Hi all,

I have run deprecation through AFAB and after this I could see deprecation plan in AW01N but in which GL account this deprecation will show

but it is not reflecting in any GL accounts.

Messages from PI are successful , but not shown in AIF error handling and monditoring

Dear All,

 

We have messages being triggered from PI to proxy and to AIF.

Messages status is shown as successful in sxmb_moni transaction but I don't get to see these in /AIF/err - error handling and monitoring transaction.

WHat could be the possible reason? would there be any missing authorization.

 

Note: this is working in Development but having this issue in test environment.

"LIST_TOO_MANY_LEVELS": Is 20 hardcoded or a systemparameter?

Hello,

 

in order to avoid "LIST_TOO_MANY_LEVELS" most people try to keep the list stack below 21 secondary lists.

 

The code then looks like the following example taken from sap help:

 

REPORT demo_at_line_selection.

START-OF-SELECTION.
  WRITE 'Click me!' COLOR = 5 HOTSPOT.

AT LINE-SELECTION.
  WRITE: / 'You clicked list', sy-listi,
         / 'You are on list',  sy-lsind.
  IF sy-lsind < 20.
    SKIP.
    WRITE: 'More ...' COLOR = 5 HOTSPOT.
  ENDIF.


Question: Is this limit hardcoded into SAP or is it possible to increase the number, therefore revealing the literal 20 as a bad coding style? If the number is depending on the systems configuration, how can it be determined within ABAP?

Upgrade error from 8.81 PL07 to 9 PL05

Hi experts,

 

I tried upgrading my 8.81 PL07 database to 9 PL05.

 

i got the error with the Notes:1343050. According to the notes . i ran the query [ DBCC CHECKDB WITH NO_INFOMSGS ]  which results in the error report as below.

 

I am a functional consultant. I dont have idea on the DB. Could anyone explain the below error and how to fix it ?

Web Service Configuration during post Solman 7.1 upgrade System Prep steps

Good morning -  I have completed the techical upgrade of our Solution Manager system to Solman 7.1 SP04. In System Preparation Step 5 "Web Service Configuration", the first step is "Configure Web Dispatcher". Do I have to manually

configure a web dispatcher on the Solution Manager host, or do I need a separate stand-alone web-dispatcher for this? I currently only have a central system (everything runs on the same host, with no additional

dialog instances), and we currently don't need to access Solution Manager from outside our network. In this case, is a web dispatcher still required?

 

Also, still in Step 5, for the task "Logical Ports Creation", the online help provided in the solman_setup step is okay up through step 8. Step 9 says to "Select a logical port". In my system, when I follow steps 1-8, there is no logical port displayed in step 9. I assume I need to create a new one, but there is no guidance provided for this. Is this documented somewhere else, or can you please provide detailed instructions for this?

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Update - Sometimes, you just have to pay attention to details. I didn't realize that Step 5 was one that could be performed automatically. The issue has been resolved.

DTW template for Master Data Table

Hi Experts,

I have created a Master Data table and created an object which point to this Master Data table. I don't need to link to any child table because i just need the header rows. hence never created a child table.

I want to load the data using DTW.

Now i tried to customize the template to create one single template
